The Caribbean experience continues to evolve and shift in the same way that families, relationships, communities, landscapes, pass times and ideas about self, have evolved and shifted. Therefore, in the meanderings of the Caribbean imagination, the focus of creative expressions will, necessarily, vary and this variation makes for richly textured diverse experiences worth sharing. A journey I experienced in my life was traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands in the 1960s. I was a young child at the time, around 10 years. In retrospect, so many things have changed since then – the culture, attitudes, etc.
